Meet Michelle

I’ve lived in the Flat Rock community of Henderson County for ten years. I love the beautiful views we enjoy here every day, but I love the people most of all. That’s why I’m running for State House—to be an advocate for our communities, to make sure their concerns are heard by someone who cares, to fight to make sure their rights are protected.

I’ve had a passion for politics all my life and now, after a career in risk management, I’m excited to focus on it once again. I believe that good government can improve our world and provide help for those who need it.  I learned a lot about the process of governing during college, when I was a Senate intern, and through my leadership experiences with the Henderson County Democratic Party. I have a solid understanding of how procedures work and I feel that I am a good negotiator. I’m excited to use these skills as a representative for NC District 113.

Before moving to Flat Rock, I lived in several places throughout the South. I’m originally from New Orleans, and it should be no surprise that I appreciate good food and lively music.

My husband and I have a menagerie of fur babies that we enjoy spoiling. When we get the chance, we also enjoy attending local music and gathering with friends.
