Priorities

Fair maps: The extreme gerrymandering enacted by the North Carolina General Assembly effectively means that legislators are choosing their constituents. It should be the other way around! I will work to make sure everyone’s vote counts and that restrictive voting laws are not created to penalize minorities and other specific groups.

Reproductive healthcare: The extreme 12-week abortion ban that North Carolina passed last year despite Governor Cooper’s veto is endangering the lives of women and girls. I will fight to restore the right to bodily autonomy.

Sensible gun legislation: Conducting background checks, banning weapons of war, and requiring accountability from the gun industry should not be controversial. I will work to enact reasonable gun legislation for our children and grandchildren.
